Digital Lab Transformation - Senior Consultant - Life Sciences (LIMS)

The Opportunity As a Senior in Governance, Risk, and Compliance, you will implement enterprise governance and compliance frameworks, identify control points needing improvement, optimization, or automation, and liaise with operational risk teams to enhance compliance and operational efficiency. You will support the selection of compliance software and analyze data to guide automated compliance processes. Our Life Sciences Risk Consulting team focuses on biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device manufacturers, and the medical technology industry, enabling clients to leverage the newest technologies securely and at scale. Your Key Responsibilities Manage and deliver one or more processes, solutions, and/or projects with a focus on quality and effective risk management. Continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research and analysis. Guide others using depth of expertise and interpret internal/external issues to recommend high‑quality solutions. Meet performance objectives and metrics set locally. Travel (up to 70%) may be required as needed by external clients. Help clients design operating models of digital labs with operational excellence, design processes to deliver against overall Digital Transformation strategy, and deliver clear data strategies. Formulate technical solution designs and lead conversations for Life Sciences clients. Architect transformative solutions in partnership with process owners and simplify complex implementations. Develop solutions to complex problems and recommend policy changes. Exercise judgment in selecting methods and evaluation criteria. Manage engagement economics and resource planning. Collaborate with clients to oversee program management activities related to Digital Lab Transformations. Provide strategic expertise on business case and transformation strategies. Help clients determine financial plan & budgeting to optimize costs with Digital Labs. Lead a diverse team of professionals. Responsible for coaching, leadership, and career development of team members. Translate complex requirements into actionable insights for C‑suite and Director‑level stakeholders. Serve as a technical authority on LIMS architecture, championing change within clients. Orchestrate execution of Digital Lab Transformation projects with precision, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, deadlines, and quality benchmarks. Maintain expert-level understanding of industry‑specific trends and technology advancements to inform strategic solution architecture within digital labs space. Consistently deliver quality client services by demonstrating in‑depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge and maintaining long‑term client relationships. To qualify for the role, you must have Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, quality engineering, manufacturing or a related field. 3+ years of Life Sciences work experience, including work with Life Science regulatory statutes, GxP business processes or compliance programs or integration of risk management functions. 3‑5 years relevant experience with LIMS systems, Electronic Lab notebook systems (ELN), and/or Lab Automation Systems. Programming ability (Python, LabWare LIMS Basic, SQL). Instrument integration (file/API connections). Enterprise systems integration (ERP, ELN, middleware, cloud apps). Technical Skills Board Capability Analysis and Role Definition. Board Level Reporting, Board Metrics/Training Design and Communication. Experience in implementing LabWare or LabVantage LIMS systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Ideally, you’ll also have Proven experience in managing change and driving outcomes. Financial Systems Understanding. Impact Measurement. What We Offer You A comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Base salary range for US locations: $93,600–$154,500. For New York City metro, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento): $112,400–$175,600. Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Hybrid model: expectation to work in person 40–60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
