Specialized Transport Dispatcher

Position: Specialized Transport Dispatcher Location: Kauffs Transport System West Palm Beach, FL Job Id: 215 # of Openings: 1 Specialized Transport Dispatcher We are looking to add a Dispatcher for our Transportation department, The Dispatcher you will oversee maintaining call logs, monitoring routes, transferring messages, and directing tow truck drivers. Ability to multi-task in stressful conditions with little supervision. Have excellent communications, organizational and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Provide customer service excellence with each call. Politely answer emergency and non-emergency calls and document important information. Respond to any issues and follow-up by coordinating with the appropriate departments or field Manager. Operate and manage a multi-line telephone console system. Direct drivers to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs and supervise the routes when needed. Prioritize and organize calls according to urgency. Providing customers with pricing information and respond to any queries they may have. Process customer payments Maintaining records pertaining to work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information organized and easily accessible for manager. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to answer multiple phone calls in a busy setting Ability to read and write in English Knowledge or Tow book software Ability to pass background and drug screening. Physical Requirements Ability to clearly communicate both orally and in writing on a telephone and on a computer for extended periods. Routinely requires sitting at a desk and viewing a display screen for extended periods. Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer or other electronic device. Routinely requires moderate (up to 40 pounds) lifting and carrying. Routinely requires walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, reaching up, twisting, and bending. Good hearing and vision required.
