Plumbing/Mechanical Technician - $25-30 an hour

No on call

No weekends

Job Overview:

The Plumbing/Mechanical Technician is responsible for preparing and completing gas piping set ups for whole home generators.  This position installs natural gas and propane systems for residential generator projects.

What you'll do:

• Connect the gas line to the whole home generator
• Reviews architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and civil drawings, specifications, addenda, and contract documents
• Maintains current knowledge of plumbing materials, installation methods, building codes, and industry changes.
• Represents East End Plumbing with professionalism and care (every home, every visit)
• Lives out the company’s purpose, mission, and values
• Provides customers with a remarkable experience
• Any and all other duties as assigned by supervisor

What you'll need: 

• First hand experience setting up generator gas piping installations
• Multiple years’ experience in residential plumbing services OR a combination of education and experience
• Plumbing license, trade certification, associate degree, or related technical training (preferred)
• Knowledge of applicable fuel gas and plumbing codes. 
• Knowledge of plumbing codes, building codes, OSHA requirements, and industry standards
• Experience estimating projects using software
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record
• High school diploma or GED
