The unit has the following characteristics:\n \n Number of Beds: 20\n Number of Staff: 40\n Patient Ratios: 1:4, with charge nurses free of patient care (estimated ratios)\n Equipment: Vents, Feeding Pumps, IV Pumps, Wound Vacs, Specialty Beds, Suction, Chest Tubes\n EMR: Meditech / CPN\n Qualifications\n The ideal candidates should have the following qualifications:\n \n Required:\n \n Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital PCU experience\n BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications\n \n Preferred:\n \n Experience with Meditech\n \n Procedures Performed\n Responsibilities on the unit include:\n \n Placement of chest tubes\n Bedside bronchoscopy\n Management of chest tubes, trauma patients, tracheostomies, and suction\n Personality Fit\n The best candidates will exhibit the following traits:\n \n Team player mentality\n Able to handle highly acute patient populations and thrive in challenging situations\n Additional Information\n This position offers an opportunity to work in a Level 1 trauma center, allowing for encounters with highly complex and interesting patients.
