PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) 

Skilled Nursing Facility | Venice, FL

The Palms at Venice in Venice, Florida is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. This role focuses on improving residents’ communication, cognition, and swallowing function in a post-acute and long-term care setting.

Position Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech therapy treatment plans

• Provide skilled interventions for speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders

• Perform dysphagia assessments and recommend appropriate diet modifications

• Educate residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing safety strategies

• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulations

• Participate in care planning and discharge coordination

Qualifications

• Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

• Experience in Skilled Nursing or Post-Acute Care preferred

• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
