Role Summary As a Trusts & Estates Paralegal, you will work closely with attorneys, trust officers, and senior leadership to turn sophisticated estate planning recommendations into accurate, polished client deliverables. You will support matters from intake through implementation by organizing client information, preparing customized presentations and illustrations, generating and revising estate planning documents under attorney supervision, and coordinating review and execution. You will also help improve templates, workflows, and quality-control procedures in a growing organization. Key Responsibilities Estate Planning Documents and Presentations Prepare and revise attorney-directed estate planning presentations, written plan summaries, proposals, and implementation materials tailored to each client Generate and revise irrevocable trusts and related documents using WealthCounsel document preparation software under attorney supervision Translate complex legal and tax concepts into clear, accurate, and consistent client-facing materials Estate Planning Analysis and Technical Support Use NumberCruncher and Vanilla software to prepare calculations and illustrations for advanced estate planning strategies Review existing estate planning documents, asset information, and client intake materials; organize issues for attorney review and confirm that all deliverables reflect attorney guidance and client decisions Matter Management and Implementation Manage matter intake, track missing information, maintain checklists and deadlines, and enforce organized version control Coordinate revisions and approvals among attorneys, trust officers, clients, and professional advisors; support document execution and implementation Assist with post-signing follow-up, including funding, titling, beneficiary designation, and trust-onboarding tasks as directed Quality Control and Process Improvement Proofread all deliverables for legal terminology, names, dates, figures, cross-references, formatting, and internal consistency Maintain and improve templates, questionnaires, and repeatable workflows; collaborate across legal, trust administration, operations, and compliance teams on process improvements and special projects Qualifications Required 5+ years of paralegal experience with a primary focus on trusts and estates or sophisticated private-client planning Demonstrated experience reading governing instruments and preparing and revising complex estate planning documents and polished client deliverables under attorney supervision Exceptional drafting, proofreading, organizational, and project-management skills, with discretion and close attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and document-management and document-automation technology Bachelor's degree, associate degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Location: Must live in South Dakota, Colorado, Washington (state not DC), Florida, Kansas or Missouri Preferred Familiarity with WealthCounsel and NumberCruncher Experience supporting advanced estate, gift, GST, income tax, asset protection, or charitable planning for high-net-worth clients Experience with South Dakota trust law Experience in a trusts and estates law practice, trust company, family office, or private wealth organization Familiarity with SS&C trust administration software or comparable trust accounting systems What We Offer Our comprehensive benefits and total rewards package includes: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage 401(k) plan with employer contribution and Health Savings Account (HSA) Generous paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays Professional development support and growth opportunities Collaborative work environment with direct access to senior leadership #J-18808-Ljbffr
