Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival in order to grow lasting customer relationships. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table, or court, which best serves their expectations. Duties & Responsibilities: Answer phone in pleasant, helpful manner. Record dining and court reservations on POS ensuring all company policies regarding reservations and deposits are followed. Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival. When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant. When immediate seating is limited, record guest names, number of people in parties and give accurate estimate of wait time. Keeps track of location of guests on wait list. When tables become available, locate and seat the appropriate party. Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible. Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations. Relay messages to servers and buspersons as needed to ensure maximum table usage and correct set up. Monitor and control the timing and flow of bocce court times. Monitor and ensure busperson’s restroom service. Maintain spotless and orderly entrance and host station. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Qualifications: Posses an outgoing, positive, and vibrant personality. Must have exceptional grooming habits. Previous restaurant experience (6 months) required, preferably in a host/hostess position. Be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours). Be experienced in (or trainable) and able to explain and play the sport of Bocce. Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests and employees. #J-18808-Ljbffr
