Job Description

This role combines professional commercial driving with strong customer-facing responsibilities. You will safely transport products to and from customers, process point-of-sale transactions, and provide a high level of service while representing the company in a professional and positive manner.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport a variety of items to and from customer locations in accordance with company standards and best practices.
• Process point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently at customer sites or designated locations.
• Distribute products directly to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety across various environments, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Load and unload products safely and efficiently, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed, in a safe and compliant manner.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding individual needs and preferences.
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of company products and services to effectively communicate their features and benefits to customers.
• Demonstrate professionalism and uphold a positive image of the company in all interactions with customers, vendors, and competitors.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of productivity, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Stay informed about customer processes as well as competitor products and services to support informed customer conversations and service delivery.

Essential Skills

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Proven experience driving commercial trucks and operating as a CDL driver.
• Ability to safely drive for the majority of the workday.
• Experience with loading and unloading products.
• Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to use forklifts as part of daily duties.
• Strong customer service skills with a customer service–oriented mindset.
• Ability to process point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace safety practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing delivery or route-driving role.
• Familiarity with company and competitor products and services in a distribution or transportation environment.
• Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company positively with customers, vendors, and competitors.

Work Environment

This is a highly customer-facing role where you interact directly with customers throughout the day. You will spend the majority of your time driving a commercial vehicle, traveling between customer locations. The position involves regular loading and unloading of products and may require operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment. You can expect to work in a mix of indoor and outdoor environments at various customer sites, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

This is a Permanent position based out of Millington, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $62400.00/yr.
