Occupational Therapist

Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, and within a framework of standard policies and procedures, provides direct services to assist students with conditions that are mentally, physically, developmentally, or emotionally disabling to benefit from their basic educational program; provides training and consultation to staff and parents.

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in occupational therapy. Valid Certificate of Registration issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Valid California driver's license.

This position is two days per week (TBD). The anticipated work hours are 7:30 am until 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid meal period. This is a districtwide position and will support students at various schools within the district. The most common activities will likely involve training and consulting with staff to build their capacity to support students, conducting individual student evaluations, and providing therapy services.
