Security Installation Technician

Job Type Full-time Description From initially selling and servicing fire extinguishers, we have transformed ourselves into a full-service fire and life safety corporation. We now specialize in sprinkler system testing, repair and installation, kitchen and restaurant systems, fire alarm design, installation and service, backflow prevention devices, full service alarm monitoring, fire pump repair and installation, and underground hydrant repairs and installation, among the many services we offer. Responsibilities Install security systems per provided job scopes and drawings Install and service access control systems Install and service IP based camera systems Install and service alarm systems Work efficiently as a lead technician on the team to install systems Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints Effectively communicate equipment issues and potential solutions on work performed to customers Explain and train customers on effective utilization of equipment and/ or systems Efficiently and accurately update and complete customer files, including but not limited to customer contacts, work orders, parts utilized, and work performed Promptly and professionally respond to customer questions and concerns Understand and maintain compliance with company and customer safety program Maintain all applicable certifications for necessary products serviced by company Ability to lead, train, mentor and/ or coach less experienced technicians Requirements Perform other related duties as assigned or required Valid driver’s license High School Diploma/ GED 5+ years security technician work experience Commercial experience Able to work flexible hours including after-hours, nights, and weekends Able to travel to multiple job sites each day Fully proficient in alarm, access control and IP camera systems Access control installation and servicing experience - knowledge in S2 and Brivo Experience with installation of controller, reader, contact, REX and electrified door hardware Commercial alarm system installation & servicing experience - knowledge in Burg, DMP, Honeywell and DSC systems a plus Camera system installation & servicing experience, including network camera systems - knowledge in Exacq, Wave VMS a plus CAT5/6 network termination skills High precision/ detail-oriented Professional verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently, with little supervision Ability to lead a team on larger jobs Works effectively and efficiently while performing all aspects of the required job Alarm Agent License DPS Fingerprint Card Preferred S2 training Brivo training DMP training IP / Network knowledge Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Benefits Medical Dental Vision Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401(k) matching #J-18808-Ljbffr
