Accountant
Our client, in downtown Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team and provide hands-on accounting and financial support. This position is ideal for a well-rounded accounting professional who is comfortable working across multiple areas of the accounting function and enjoys being involved in the day-to-day details. This is an in-office direct-hire opportunity.

• Support day-to-day accounting activities and internal financial processes.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Work with balance sheets and income statements and assist with maintaining accurate financial information.
• Assist with monthly accounting activities and preparation of financial information.
• Maintain internal accounting schedules and financial tracking spreadsheets.
• Use QuickBooks to record, review, and maintain accounting information.
• Create and maintain detailed Excel workbooks used for internal accounting and financial reporting.
• Build and work within Excel files containing multiple linked worksheets and formulas.
• Pull information between worksheets and organize financial data for reconciliation and reporting purposes.
• Review financial information for accuracy and identify inconsistencies or discrepancies.
• Provide accounting support to leadership and assist with various accounting needs as they arise.
• Work with outside accounting and CPA resources as needed while maintaining accurate internal financial information.

Accountant Background Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Previous hands-on accounting experience in a generalist or staff-level accounting capacity.
• Experience working with balance sheets, income statements, and account reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Strong to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and linked worksheets.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to independently research and resolve discrepancies.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working across multiple areas of accounting rather than specializing in one narrow function.
• CPA is not required.
