Manufacturing Engineer

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a manufacturer of industrial products in Leetsdale, PA. Reporting the Director of Operations this person will focus on improving manufacturing operations by developing and implementing more effective manufacturing processes and procedures.


Responsibilities include:

• Investigate and resolve technical manufacturing issues with equipment and processes
• Develop manufacturing processes to reduce costs using lean practices
• Develop processes, SOP's and work instructions for manufacturing processes including new products and product improvements. Develop product routings using time studies and lean practices
• Work with outside vendors on the design requirements for fixtures and equipment
• Reduce manufacturing costs, while not negatively impacting other areas. Reduce lead times, inventory levels, and materials movement.

This is on site position in Leetsdale, PA. Full time daylight 8 hour Monday- Friday work schedule, with some flex on start and end times. After settling in, this person can choose to work at home one day per week, otherwise this is an on site position. Positive team environment with a growing company that cares about employees. We anticipate long term growth from this position into an engineering supervisory role.


Salary is expected to be in the range of 90-105K, plus benefits package.


Qualifications

• We require a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, plus at least 5 years of progressive experience in improving manufacturing operations
• ERP software exposure
• We are looking for someone who energetic, results driven and self motivated
• This person has no reports. But we anticipate that this position could lead to a supervisory role and are looking for leadership skills for future growth
• Must be able to pass a preemployment background check
