Thoracic Surgeon

Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job South of Tampa, Florida Seeking 3-7 Days per Month Starting August 2026 & Ongoing

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a facility located near Tampa that needs Cardiothoracic Surgery locum tenens coverage for sporadic 24-hour call coverage beginning in July & ongoing through 2026. Dates of Coverage:
7am 8/12 - 7am 8/14
7am 8/18 - 7am 8/19 (24 hours)
7am 11/26 - 7am 11/30
+ Will have the opportunity to pick up additional future dates (facility generally needs between 5-7 days/month)

Assignment Details/Requirements :
Active Florida license required
Current Board Certification required
BLS, ACLS, ABLS, PALS certifications required
Will be covering 24-hour call coverage for the entire period + may be asked to also see patients in the clinic on an as needed basis
Will be required to round, see new consults/follow-up consults and to cover emergent cases/scopes
One staffed CT Surgeon on site; will be covering call in place of staffed Surgeon
Open to locum to perm candidates, not required
Facility details: not a designated trauma center, Epic EMR, 200+ bed facility
