ESC Technical Supervisor

This position is responsible for leading, providing technical guidance, and coaching the service technicians in the Equipment Service Center (ESC). The Supervisor, ESC Technical also acts as department project manager to implement improvement projects to drive efficiency gains within the repair processes. This role interacts with a variety of different departments within Spacelabs such as Product Support, Engineering, and IT to resolve issues and to implement improvements. Responsibilities Provides direction and oversight on a daily basis to a team of service technicians. Coaches and supports the team in daily operations. Conducts performance evaluations, provides coaching, and supports career development for technicians. Monitors service KPIs, identifies trends, and makes recommendations for process improvement. Serves as escalation point of technical issues from the team. Maintains accurate service records, reports, and documentation for audits and inspections. Develops, documents, and improves service processes, including cost reductions and reliability improvements. Provides knowledge and guidance to the ESC repair team to continually increase the level of expertise within the team. Makes estimates/quotes, schedules workloads, and establishes repair priorities. Performs and oversees the initial investigation of devices and parts returned as out of box failures and warranty replacements. Maintains the integrity and quality of our products for our customers. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FDA, MDD, UL, CSA, etc. Ensures implementation of corrective actions. Develops, validates, creates documentation for, and maintains test equipment and procedures. Generates test instructions and engineering change orders. Ensures that safe operating procedures are developed and communicated to ESC team members. Works to reduce costs and improve quality. Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline or additional equivalent work experience in a similar role. 5+ years of technical experience within a regulated industry (medical device, aerospace, or military) including troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance and associated documentation requirements. 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience. Strong customer service orientation with a solution-focused mindset. Organized work methods with high attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Direct customer-facing experience a plus. Benefits Pay may range $105,000 to $120,000 annually. The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations. Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
