Desktop Support Engineer

Manufacturing / Factory Environment Experience – Preferred Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field – Preferred; equivalent experience considered POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a Deskside Support Technician to provide hands‑on technical support to end users in an onsite environment. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting PCs, hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues. Experience supporting users within a manufacturing facility or factory environment is highly preferred. The technician will work directly with employees to diagnose and resolve technical issues, maintain computer equipment, and ensure reliable day‑to‑day IT operations. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide onsite deskside and desktop support to employees. Troubleshoot and resolve PC, hardware, software, and peripheral issues . Install, configure, maintain, and replace computer hardware and software. Diagnose basic network connectivity and network hardware issues . Support printers, monitors, laptops, desktops, and other end‑user devices. Assist with hardware deployments, upgrades, and equipment refreshes. Respond to service requests and incidents and document resolutions appropriately. Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate infrastructure or network teams. Provide technical assistance while maintaining a high level of customer service. Follow IT procedures, security standards, and support documentation. Work effectively in an onsite manufacturing/factory environment . Assist with other IT support activities as required.
