We are looking for an experienced Accountant to support core accounting operations for an established company in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is focused on maintaining accurate financial records, managing close activities, and ensuring balance sheet accounts are properly supported. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly closing activities by preparing schedules, reviewing transactions, and helping deliver timely financial results.

• Maintain the general ledger by recording and organizing financial activity with a high level of accuracy.

• Prepare and post journal entries that reflect routine and adjusting accounting transactions.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure complete and reliable reporting.

• Perform bank reconciliations regularly and resolve outstanding items in coordination with internal stakeholders.

• Review financial data for consistency and support efforts to strengthen accounting accuracy and control procedures.

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including work in a senior or advanced staff accounting capacity.

• Hands-on experience managing month-end close processes in a deadline-oriented environment.

• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.

• Proven experience completing account reconciliations and resolving variances effectively.

• Experience performing bank reconciliations with strong attention to detail.

• Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for financial reporting and reconciliation.
