Cost Control Engineer

Job title : Project Controls Engineer/Manager Location : Houston, TX with travel to Sabine Pass, TX 2 days a week. Schedule : 5/40 Key Focuses Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to quickly learn and navigate complex workbooks. Strong understanding of project cost reporting, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and cost performance metrics. The ideal candidate has experience on large-scale EPC or industrial construction projects and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. They should be highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple tasks while supporting a small team responsible for coordinating work across approximately a high volume of subcontractors. We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to support projects by managing cost reporting, forecasting, and project performance analysis. This is a back-office role focused on compiling, validating, and analyzing project cost data to support accurate reporting and forecasting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain cost reports for next 2 construction phases of this project using ADVANCED Microsoft Excel. Compile and validate cost data received from the EPC team. Analyze project costs, rates, earned value, and forecasting data to identify trends and variances. Develop and distribute recurring project cost reports for project leadership. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of cost management data and reporting. Work closely with Project Controls and the EPC team to support forecasting and cost performance analysis. Qualifications 10+ years of Project Controls or Cost Controls experience on large capital, EPC, LNG, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial construction projects. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to quickly learn and navigate complex workbooks. Strong understanding of project cost reporting, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and cost performance metrics. Experience working with cost management systems and interpreting project financial data. Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate findings through clear, accurate reporting. #J-18808-Ljbffr Brunel
