Candlewood Suites St. Charles is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor to support the housekeeping department in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role is hands-on and requires working alongside the housekeeping team to ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet IHG cleanliness standards.
Compensation:$17.75 hourly
Responsibilities:- Assist with inspecting guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and brand standards are met
- Support housekeeping staff with cleaning guest rooms as needed
- Assist with laundry operations, including sorting, washing, folding, and distribution of linens
- Help coordinate daily housekeeping assignments and priorities
- Ensure rooms are ready on time for guest arrivals and occupancy
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas
- Report maintenance issues and room deficiencies promptly
- Provide support to the Housekeeping Supervisor in daily operations
- Manage the daily tasks of the housekeeping department, including cleaning guest rooms and public areas
- Document areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues, such as room damage or maintenance requests, to the front office
- Take inventory and ensure an adequate stock of cleaning supplies
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and arrange for repairs as needed
- Train housekeeping staff to perform cleaning duties and deliver customer satisfaction to expectations
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull housekeeping equipment and supplies as needed
- Bilingual a plus
