Senior Paralegal

Job Overview This position provides advanced paralegal support across Litigation, Commercial, Market Access, and Privacy functions, partnering closely with attorneys and internal stakeholders to drive efficient, organized, and compliant legal processes, including eDiscovery/search activities, legal holds, contracting support, and knowledge management. Key Responsibilities Coordinate legal hold and eDiscovery workflows (e.g., Everlaw), including document collection, privilege logs, confidentiality designations, and management of internal case filing repositories. Support responses to third‑party subpoenas and related document production under attorney oversight. Assist investigations by attending interviews, taking notes, drafting initial summaries/memos, and providing surge support to risk/ERM processes during peak periods. Support drafting, reviewing, and administering market‑access agreements and contract review workflows, maintaining contract trackers (rebate terms, pricing obligations, expirations, amendments). Develop, maintain, and optimize playbooks, templates, checklists, and process documentation, and support adoption of legal technologies. Coordinate with legal‑support vendors (transcription, trial graphics, eDiscovery providers) and support matter administration, including first‑level invoice review. Manage multiple workstreams, proactively communicate status and risks, and work with attorneys and stakeholders to prioritize tasks. Qualifications Strong experience supporting litigation/eDiscovery, including legal holds, document collection, organization of case filings, and eDiscovery/search workflows. Experience with outside counsel and vendor coordination; familiarity with first‑level invoice review tools such as CounselLink. Experience supporting contracting processes, tracking and coordination of reviews, and maintaining playbooks and checklists. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, self‑directed with minimal supervision and ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work across functions and geographies. Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential and privileged information appropriately. Tech savvy with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and willingness to learn new legal technologies. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree; paralegal certification from an ABA‑approved program is a plus. Minimum 5+ years of relevant paralegal experience (law firm and/or in‑house) or equivalent. Proven experience in both litigation/eDiscovery and market‑access activities within a regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment, and cross‑functional stakeholder collaboration for process improvement. Compensation Salary range: $96,000 - $144,000, with eligibility for annual bonus, equity awards, and overtime pay per federal and state law. Work Arrangement Hybrid‑eligible; may work remotely up to two days per week or on‑site full time, per Vertex Flex policy.
