This is NOT an inside sales or counter position. Your primary responsibility is to prospect and bring new customers to Apex.

You will work directly with contractors, excavation companies, landscapers, concrete contractors, utility companies, general contractors, municipalities, project managers, superintendents, foremen, and business owners.

Responsibilities include:

• Visit construction sites and contractor offices throughout the Treasure Valley
• Prospect for new B2B customers every day
• Cold call and personally introduce Apex to potential customers
• Build relationships with contractors, superintendents, foremen, project managers, and owners
• Identify upcoming projects and equipment needs
• Generate and close new equipment rental business
• Follow up on quotes, leads, and prospective accounts
• Maintain and grow existing customer relationships
• Generate opportunities for compact equipment sales
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline
• Work with our rental team to make sure customers receive excellent service

What we're looking for:

We want a self-motivated salesperson who is comfortable hunting for new business . You need to be comfortable walking onto a jobsite, introducing yourself to someone you've never met, making cold calls, asking questions, and asking for the business.

B2B outside sales experience is strongly preferred. Construction, equipment rental, heavy equipment, building materials, industrial sales, or experience selling to contractors is a major plus.

Equipment knowledge is helpful, but we can teach equipment to the right salesperson. We're more interested in finding someone with the drive and personality to prospect, build relationships, and close business.

We are building Apex Equipment Rental into a major local equipment rental and sales company, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
