Location: Traveling throughout CA
Salary Rate: $125,000 - $150,000 (salary depends on experience); can be higher than the range posted

We are seeking a Traveling AC Paving Superintendent who oversees paving operations across California. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in AC paving and experience working on CALTRANS projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily asphalt paving activities and provide leadership to field crews and equipment operators.
• Plan and coordinate paving schedules, trucking operations, and equipment allocation to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Monitor paving operations, including asphalt placement, compaction, elevation, and surface tolerances.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers to support project success.
• Resolve field challenges related to paving operations, grading, materials, equipment, and traffic control.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt paving, roadway construction, or related heavy civil construction.
• Previous experience in a Superintendent, Foreman, or supervisory role preferred.
• Thorough understanding of asphalt paving operations, compaction techniques, and roadway construction practices.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
• Proven experience leading paving crews, equipment operators, and subcontractors.
