Full-time Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions
Outpatient Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine practice
EPIC EMR
Work alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals

Schedule & Coverage

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
30-minute required lunch
No floating
No call requirement listed
Patient ratio: approximately 1:14-18

Clinical Details

Evaluate and manage gastroenterology and internal medicine patients
Perform medical evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up
Provide patient and family education
Prescribe and monitor medications
Order and monitor appropriate diagnostic and emergency interventions
Refer complex cases to collaborating physicians
Maintain accurate clinical documentation for coding and billing
Collaborate with physicians, NP, LPN, and anesthesia staff

Requirements

Nurse Practitioner
MSN or DNP
Board Certified
Minimum 3 years of recent experience
Active New York license in hand
BLS certification
AHA or RQI certification
EPIC experience required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Current and complete work history
No unexplained gaps of 30+ days
Residents and fellows not accepted
