You will work closely with our experienced program managers to develop and execute projects and contribute to the success of our business area. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented student looking to make an impact and gain valuable experience in program management, please consider this opportunity.Responsibilities:Assist the project management team in planning and executing research, development, and test projectsLeverage operational expertise to outline engagement options with end-users of undersea autonomy and other unmanned undersea systems, including considerations for engagement cadence, format, and leave-behindsSupport the development and implementation of program plans, Integrated Master Schedules, and other supporting planning artifactsAssist in analyzing and evaluating autonomous systems and technologies, including their potential applications and benefits for the organization.Help monitor project status and provide program status updates, including completion of routine project management reviews and customer status reportsLeverage expertise in special operations and the undersea domain to inform business development and strategy efforts, including identifying new opportunities and potential partnershipsMaintain action items list and problem tracking systems, and assist in resolving issuesAssist in the development and delivery of project proposals to external customersSupport the program manager with business intelligence analysis and market researchSupport risk identification and mitigation effortsInteract with program business area leads and portfolio managers to support technical portfoliosJob Description:Duties/ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and enhancement engineering solutions for challenging problems.Implement, test, perform analysis, and provide documentation support.Generate and present test reports including plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions from data collected and analyzed throughout the test process.Complete assignments designed to develop a practical knowledge of processes, procedures, equipment, facilities, and systems as well as their interrelationships within engineering disciplines.Performs other duties as assigned.Program RequirementsEnrolled in an accredited full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program required.There is flexibility regarding hours and program duration based on applicant’s school schedule and availability.Skills/AbilitiesExcellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities.Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.Additional Job Description:Eligibility:Currently enrolled in a degree program (Bachelor's or Master's) in a relevant engineering, technical, or business field of studyStrong academic record and demonstrated interest in program managementAbility to work 10-12 weeks during the summer (or other agreed-upon schedule)Strong written and oral communication skillsAbility to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)Security Requirements:This internship requires the candidate to be a U.S. citizen and be eligible to obtain a security clearance with an in-scope Background Investigation and ability to attain TS/SCI.Preferred Qualifications:Previous internship or co-op experience in program management or a related fieldExperience with undersea technologies and relevant DOW capabilitiesBasic knowledge of program management principles and practicesFamiliarity with project management tools and techniquesThis internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in program management and contribute to the success of our business area.
