Maintenance Planner / Supervisor – Electrical & InstrumentationSappi Somerset is a large, established manufacturing facility producing nearly 1 million metric tons of paper and over 500,000 metric tons of pulp annually. The site continues to invest in equipment, technology, and process improvements, supporting a complex, high-speed operation. We’re looking to connect with experienced maintenance professionals who bring strength in electrical and instrumentation work and are interested in roles that blend planning, coordination, and team leadership.About the OpportunityWe’re looking for experienced maintenance professionals with a background in electrical and instrumentation who are interested in taking the next step in their career.Depending on your experience and interests, this role can be aligned as either a Maintenance Planner or Maintenance Supervisor. Both paths play an important role in ensuring maintenance work is well-planned, efficiently executed, and aligned with operational goals.This position offers a balance of technical problem-solving, coordination, and leadership, along with the opportunity to contribute to ongoing improvements across the mill.What You’ll Be Involved InCoordinating and/or leading daily maintenance activities and planned outagesSupporting a safety-first work environmentPartnering with operations to address equipment issues and maintain production targetsImproving planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance workTroubleshooting issues with electrical, instrumentation, and process equipmentSupporting or leading a skilled maintenance team, depending on role alignmentContributing to equipment reliability and performance improvementsBackground We’re Looking ForDemonstrated commitment to safety leadership Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance 3+ years of experience in supervision, shutdown planning, or engineering roles Strong troubleshooting skills with process or rotating equipmentFamiliarity with SAP or similar CMMS systemsElectrical Engineering degree is helpful, though hands-on experience is equally valued
