What you’ll tackle

• Own preventive maintenance programs—plan, communicate, and carry them out at assigned facilities to safeguard uptime.
• Install, set up, diagnose, maintain, and repair production machinery, material-handling equipment, and building systems using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Handle emergency and unscheduled repairs with accuracy and urgency.
• Execute scheduled maintenance to keep efficiency high and downtime low.
• Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Interpret manuals, work orders, blueprints, and schematics; apply advanced diagnostic techniques to resolve issues.
• Operate with a safety-first mindset, meeting all environmental and safety laws, regulations, and internal policies while driving continuous improvement.
• Create complete, precise instructions for custom tooling and equipment modifications.
• Source required parts, tools, supplies, and equipment from outside vendors with management approval.

Beyond the toolbox

• Set up machinery for upcoming production runs so teams hit deadlines and quality goals.
• Support maintenance of facility utilities and infrastructure.
• Provide guidance to other maintenance technicians, particularly those early in their careers.

Physical demands

• Lift up to 75 lbs safely.
• Stand for up to 8 hours.
• Work seated, kneeling, or crouching for up to 2 hours continuously.
• Use non-powered tools to precisely tighten/loosen fasteners.
• Climb ladders and stairs with confidence.

Core strengths

• Advanced shop math; accurate measurement and documentation; ability to sketch custom parts and tools.
• Expert diagnosis of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions.
• Mastery of powered and non-powered hand tools with a focus on safety.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; fluent in technical documentation; accurate entry, editing, reading, and interpretation of maintenance records and PM schedules.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License (or equivalent).
• Advanced ability to read and comprehend technical documentation for assigned equipment.
