What You'll Do As a fleet mechanic, you will be responsible for:
- Diagnose and repair light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and drive trains.
- Perform DOT inspections and lubrication services to meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and assess vehicles' operational capabilities.
- Utilize welding skills to assist with repairs (welding experience a plus but not mandatory).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Document repair and maintenance activities accurately.
What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A two-year certificate from technical school or college, or 3-5 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
- Valid OR or WA driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- Welding skills are a plus but not required.
