Material Science/Metallurgical Engineering Intern

As an intern/co-op with Cleveland-Cliffs, you will build life-long professional connections and have the opportunity to be considered for future full-time employment.As a Material Science/Metallurgical Engineer Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, projects in which an intern will participate will vary, depending on education level and plant, but will model the duties below to the extent possible.Summary of Responsibilities:Daily review of production process dataAnalyze disposition of non-conforming productParticipate on quality improvement teamsConduct and analyze mill experimentsPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly reportsAnalyze current operating performance and standard operating procedures and make recommendations for improvementVarious other projects as needed to support the businessMinimum Qualifications:Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in the field of Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or other related technical degreeCompletion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Cleveland-Cliffs is a leading North America-based steel producer with focus on value-added sheet products, particularly for the automotive industry.
