Ace Roofing is a growing residential and commercial roofing contractor committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers and creating a positive, team-oriented work environment. We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and providing excellent internal and external customer service.
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable process, ensuring vendor invoices are processed accurately and on time, maintaining vendor records, and supporting the accounting team with financial reporting and administrative tasks. This position plays a key role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring the integrity of the company's financial records.
Requirements:- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Verify invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation
- Prepare and process vendor payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation
- Assist with expense reporting and financial reconciliations
- Generate accounts payable reports for leadership
- Assist with year-end 1099 preparation and reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal accounting controls
- Support the accounting team with additional administrative and clerical duties
- Follow company policies, procedures, and internal controls
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous accounts payable or accounting experience preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite or similar accounting software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in the construction industry
- Familiarity with AccuLynx or other construction management software
