Job Description
CT Technologist

Schedule

Monday - Friday; 3pm - 11:30pm EST, on call/callback, holidays and occasional weekends

Assignment Details

Requirements

• Current registration as a healthcare professional in the state
• Injection therapy certification required at time of submission
• Completion of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position)
• Two years of experience
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Telemetry experience

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, adhering to patient safety procedures
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure their comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for the examination
• Position patients safely, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system including documentation of images and ensuring they are sent to the PACS system
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment
