Construction Project Manager (HVAC/Mechanical)
Location: Santa Clarita, CA (Los Angeles County, Orange County travel required)
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead mechanical/HVAC construction projects across a mix of public and private sectors. This role is responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring quality delivery, budget adherence, and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects including new builds, renovations, and retrofits
- Review plans, estimates, and proposals to ensure project accuracy and feasibility
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation
- Coordinate with GCs, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Oversee contract administration, negotiations, and financial performance
- Provide regular project updates and resolve issues proactively
- Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with plans, safety standards, and regulations
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction project management experience
- Experience in HVAC/mechanical construction strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of construction documents and processes
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple priorities
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
