Electrical Technician

Electrical Technician – Southern Region (Tidworth, Humber Lane) Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 per annum (DOE), plus company vehicle, discretionary bonus, and Veolia benefits. Hours: 40 hours per week with out‑of‑hours standby (approximately once every four weeks). Location: Southern Region, working area with home base at Humber Lane, Tidworth. Attend to plant and equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime. Report unsafe or defective plant, tools, equipment, PPE, practices, methods or hazards. Use and operate workshop facilities and equipment safely, complying with company and statutory requirements. Assist in the upkeep and record‑keeping of spares and accessories, both paper and electronic. Participate in confined‑space operations as required and complete necessary training. Qualifications Electrical qualification to NVQ level 3 or greater. Knowledge of 18th edition wiring regulations. Preferably City & Guilds, NVQ level 3/ECS, or JIB card holder. City & Guilds Level 3 Testing and Inspection qualification and/or experience. Thermal imagery qualification (beneficial). Portable appliance testing qualification and/or experience (advantageous). Ability to attain a Ministry of Defence security clearance up to Developed Vetting Standard. Full driving licence and experience operating within a large geographical area. Basic IT skills.
