Job Title: Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in telemetry experience required License: Valid Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Client RN experience; comfortable with the NIH scale; proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and various neurological diagnoses Description: We are seeking a Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires the nurse to work on the Neuro unit and Telemetry unit. The candidate will work 4 shifts per week during the night. Every other weekend is required. The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5. The role involves caring for patients with neurological conditions. Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, craniotomy, and cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) is essential. The candidate should also be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. The unit is designated as a stroke unit and is thrombectomy capable. The facility is accredited with various designations in neuroscience and neurology. Candidates should be aware that floating between units may be required based on staffing needs. Must be willing to commit to working during major holidays, specifically Christmas. References are required from previous employers within the last three years.
