Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience with at least one completed travel assignment and a VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 34-bed Emergency Department within a full-service acute-care hospital
• Patient population spans all ages with common diagnoses including chest pain, CHF, COPD, and psych cases
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 in a fast-paced environment
• Uses Medhost EHR system
• Shift runs 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours with every other weekend required
• Call requirements as needed
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH, and PALS or ENPC
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• Must be able to handle 1:6 patient ratios in a fast-paced acute hospital setting
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

• Scrubs of any color accepted; casual wear not permitted
• Random drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
• Candidates cannot have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
