Stepdown Floating Unit

Preference will be given to candidates with both ICU and PCU experience. A minimum of 2 years critical care experience is required. Top diagnosis/procedures: surgical of all types, medicals of all types, neuro patients at times. Common equipment: bladder scanners, IV pumps, PCA pumps, SCD's, bipaps, cpaps, optiflows, vapotherms, airvos. Vasoactive drip titration required: neosynephrine, amiodarone, cardizem, among a few others. Nurse patient ratio: 1:03 (not guaranteed). Line management skills: required: IV insertion, PICC/central line management, vascular device access/care, dialysis fistula care/management, A-line management. Preferred: CVP. Cardiac skills: preferred: obtain 12 lead EKG, sheath removal, cardioversion/defibrillation. Airway: required: CPAP/BiPAP, trach care. Ortho/MS/Onc: required: epidural/PCA pumps, feeding tubes, wound vac.
