Advanced RN | Clinical Supervisor - Cardiovascular Services
This role is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of cardiovascular services within a healthcare setting. The Clinical Supervisor manages both human and material resources, prepares and administers budgets, and supports program development, quality improvement, and staff development initiatives. Acting as a professional role model and leader, this individual mentors staff and collaborates with medical professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment adhering to safety and infection control standards.
- Ensure care delivery respects individual rights and preferences.
- Participate in policy formulation and decision-making at departmental and organizational levels.
- Accept accountability for services provided to patients.
- Evaluate healthcare quality and appropriateness.
- Coordinate nursing care with other healthcare disciplines to integrate services across the continuum.
- Assist in recruitment, selection, and retention of diverse personnel.
- Assess and plan strategies addressing demographic, social, economic, and ethical healthcare issues.
- Manage staffing and scheduling to optimize personnel utilization based on competencies and patient needs.
- Oversee orientation, education, credentialing, and professional development of staff.
- Provide guidance and supervision to personnel, including performance evaluation.
- Develop and manage budgets for assigned areas.
- Promote evidence-based practice through participation in research and staff education.
- Ensure shared accountability for professional practice and timely intervention when necessary.
- Provide direct patient care as needed.
- Represent the department in meetings and organizational initiatives.
- Perform data analysis and assist leadership with reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology.
- Supervisory experience involving financial management, personnel supervision, and clinical practice.
- Ability to provide clinical backup.
- At least two years recent experience as a Charge Nurse or in healthcare management.
- Strong knowledge of organizational operations and specialty area.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers, word processing, and database software.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited university required; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Master's degree preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Successful candidates must pass a physical evaluation, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment. This position is located in a regional healthcare facility serving the Pacific Northwest region of the United States.
$48 per hour
