Job Description Pay Range: $44–$65 per hour. This position has a sign‑on bonus of $10,000 . Scope Under general supervision, performs diagnostic PET/CT imaging, therapy procedures, and related functions. Collaborates with the Radiation Service Director and Supervisor on technical issues, equipment performance, and QA. Supports and adheres to the New York Oncology Hematology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs diagnostic PET/CT imaging or therapy procedures, including injection of radiopharmaceuticals, administration of oral contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction, and filming of images. Network image transfers and archiving of image data. Assists in procedure scheduling and related front‑office functions to ensure smooth workflow. Ensures accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution, and patient files. Assists with collection of clinical data for patient follow‑up and development of teaching and educational information. Provides protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor scanner performance; reports all malfunctions or need for service to the proper company or facility. Manages patient data and films: printing, archiving, retrieval, network data transfers, tracking, and logging of loaned films and requested outside films. Orders necessary office, medical, printing, and archiving media. Minimum Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or from an AMA‑accredited program, or Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA‑accredited program and PET/CT certification. Minimum 3–5 years experience in nuclear medicine and/or previous PET experience preferred. General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems. CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) and/or ARRT (N) certification and state licensure where applicable. Certification either in ARRT (R) or (CT) or NMTCB (CT) is also preferred. Physical demands of this job typically require full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination for operation and repair of all department equipment, lifting and carrying items up to 50lb, lifting and pushing patients in wheelchairs or stretchers up to 300lb and placing them in appropriate positions for operation of equipment, reaching above shoulder height, sitting or standing for extended periods, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
