Adult Psychiatrist Outpatient Physician - Saint Luke's - Kansas City, MO (Kansas City)

Job Summary

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a BC/BE adult psychiatrist to join a well‑established outpatient practice. The physician will conduct evaluations for psychiatric conditions, substance and alcohol use disorders, social concerns, and related medical issues in both tele‑psychiatry and outpatient settings, with a focus on outpatient adult psychiatry care. The hybrid position offers a mix of in‑clinic and remote workdays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and follow‑up mental health evaluations.
• Manage psychotropic medications and provide individual therapy.
• Deliver care through a team‑based model with 36 hours of direct patient contact per week.
• Maintain an active referral base averaging 14 scheduled visits per day.
• Collaborate with a team of five physicians, support staff, licensed therapists, psychologists, and neuropsychologists.
• Provide weekend call rotation (1:7) consulting at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City.

Qualifications

• Active Missouri and Kansas medical license, or eligibility to obtain both.
• Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry with completion (or in‑progress) of an accredited psychiatry residency program.
• Fellowship training or experience in Psychosomatic Medicine or Geriatric Psychiatry desirable.
• Less than 1 year of experience for new graduates.
