Job Description
o Administer and manage sales and use tax compliance for all Sony America entities (15 entities with over 200 returns a month)
o Team with other group members to create and implement sales and use Tax planning strategies ; Conduct research projects on applicability of indirect taxes on proposed transactions
o Assist in preparing for state and local tax audits and responding to auditor information requests
o Operate as liaison between Company Sales and Use Tax Compliance and States Department of Revenue; Prepare written responses on tax notices and governmental inquiries
o Start-up and coordinate in the sales tax compliance process automation and streamlining to reduce compliance time;
o Start-up and coordinate in the sales tax compliance automation and streamlining to improve department efficiency; processing time reduced by 50%; successfully managed the sales and use tax compliance transformations due to mergers and reorganizations
o Prepare annual property tax renditions
o Prepare account reconciliation and account analysis of various tax accounts
