Summer P&C Actuarial InternshipStructured actuarial student internship closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role—the internship rotates across broad actuarial exposure rather than owning one model.Summer P&C actuarial internship with QBE's North America Actuarial organization in Madison, Wisconsin. You'll support pricing, reserving, reinsurance, modeling, and business planning through data analysis and project work, with exposure to actuaries and senior actuarial students. The full-time role runs June 1 to August 6, 2027, and is hybrid with four office days per week.RequirementsMust haveMust be returning to college/university after internshipAuthorized to work in the US without sponsorshipStrongly preferredFull-time enrollment in a bachelor's in Actuarial ScienceCompletion of High School Diploma/GEDCourse work or relevant experience with demonstrated achievementsNice to haveAt least one actuarial exam passedStrong programming skills in Python, R, SQL, SAS, or JuliaStrong analytical skills to interpret complex dataStrong mathematical foundation in calculus, probability, and linear algebraAttention to detail for data analysis and modeling accuracyEffective communication skillsUnderstanding of probability theory and statistical distributionsFamiliarity with property and casualty insurance products and terminologyUnderstanding of basic P&C ratemaking and reserving principles
