GroundskeeperMaintain the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appearance of the resort and villas grounds areas by performing a diverse range of activities involved in grounds maintenance.Essential Functions:Mowing, trimming, and blowing of all turf areas around the resort.Planting, weeding, and mulching all flower beds around the resort.Sweeping or blowing roadside, walkways, parking lots, and tennis courts.Edging of walkways, flowerbeds, and curbs throughout the property.Operate and maintain utility vehicles and equipment, following standards and safety guidelines.Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.Additional Duties and Responsibilities:Use of many common grounds maintenance power tools including mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.Use of hand tools including rakes, brooms, shovels, sod knives, etc.Power washing all hardscape areas.Assists with irrigation system repairs and maintenance.Daily shop upkeep and cleanliness.Perform any other such duties, as assigned.Greet every guest, member, and team member with "I Am Proud" standards and set a positive tone for every interaction.Provide extraordinary service that is "Enriching by Nature."Embrace, embody, demonstrate, and encourage wellness and the STRATA virtues through interactions, performance, and commitments.Uphold the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club's brand, culture, vision, mission, and values.Be empowered to make things go right if they go wrong.Give the guest/member a fond farewell.Address feedback by utilizing the LEARN Model.Demonstrate a professional appearance and be attentive to what matters most.Comply with company policies and procedures.Observe and adhere to safety guidelines.Marginal Functions:Perform other duties as assigned.Interface positively with other departments, offering assistance when needed.Displays care in use of equipment and maintains an organized and professional work environment.Position Requirements:Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Requires basic employment skills in clerical, service or manual areasFormal Education and Job-Related Experience: Previous grounds maintenance experience valued but not required.License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Valid Driver's License.External and Internal Personal Contact:Communications:Daily – Pre shift meetings and stand ups.Occasionally – Participate in one-on-one coaching sessions.Teamwork and Collaboration: This position requires continuous teamwork as well as internal and cross-departmental communication.Additional Licenses and/or Certifications Required:YES - NOValid Driver's License - XCPR Certification - XFood Protection Manager Certification - XFood Handler Certification - XAlcohol Server/Seller Certification - XPosition Analysis/Specifications: N/A(Not Applicable) - OCCASIONAL - FREQUENTLYSitting - XStanding - XWalking - XBending Over - XCrawling - XReaching - XCrouching - XKneeling - XBalancing - XPushing / Pulling - XLifting / Carrying:10 lbs. or less - X11 to 25 lbs. - X26 to 50 lbs. - X51 to 70 lbs. - XManual Dexterity - XFine Motor Skills - XGross Motor Skills - XEye / Hand Coordination - XNear Vision - XFar Vision - XColor Recognition - XHearing - XEnvironmental Factors: Environmental factors may include indoor setting with overhead lighting and comfortable ventilation.
