Automation Engineer

5 days on site in Omaha, NE

Job Description:

• Create automated test components and suites using Java and keyword-based test frameworks.
• Develop automated test scripts for web UI, mobile, API, and backend systems.
• Ensure test suites and test cases align with software development standards; manage code in version control tools.
• Perform code reviews to build automation competency across the team.
• Generate traceability matrices and reports to ensure software development standards and documented requirements are met.
• Conduct defect management and collaborate with technical and business teams to resolve issues.
• Assist with the design of system integration, regression, and UAT testing solutions based on business/functional requirements.
• Recommend automation tools based on industry standards to minimize defects and improve application stability.
• Attend face-to-face meetings on short notice

Must-Haves:

• Automation testing with Selenium or something similar
• Source control tools (Github, Gitlab)
• Postman API experience

Requirements:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Software/QA Engineer or in a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience translating business/functional requirements into test requirements.
• 3+ years of experience in designing and developing automation test suites for both UI and APIs.
• 2+ years of experience with automated testing tools (e.g., TestComplete, BitBar, Selenium, Selenium Grid, QuickTest Pro).
• Experience with Web, Mobile, and API testing technologies and tools.
• Experience with source control tools (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, CodeDeploy, Jenkins).

Required Skills : - Able to work 5 days on-site in Omaha, NE - Familiar with SmartBear automation suite, TestComplete (UI automation tool), LoadNinja, selenium, or something similar - API Postman
