Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Central Business Office in Stamford, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, tenants, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and emergency responders, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
