Job Description
As a CNC Machinist, you will complete the entire setup of CNC machines, including editing G&M code, changing tooling and inserts, and performing offsets. You will operate various lathe machines, conducting both short and long runs. First piece and in-process inspections will be carried out using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. This role requires reading blueprints to set up machinery and working with tight tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Change tooling and inserts and perform offsets on CNC equipment.
- Operate various CNC lathe machines for short and long runs.
- Conduct first piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Read and interpret blueprints for CNC machinery setup.
- Work with tight tolerances, sometimes as precise as 1 tenth (+/-.0001).
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in CNC machining, setup, and programming.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality checks
Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McHenry, IL.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
