Summary:

The Operations Specialist leads all accounts payable/back office duties and is responsible for quality control, efficiency, and improvements to our business. The Operations Specialist is a key contact with vendors and manufacturers as well as customers when necessary. This role requires an engaging individual with strong written and verbal communication skills. You'll also need an eye for detail within the business operation and a desire to learn our electrical wholesale business. There is lots of room for growth for the Operations Specialist as we continue to offer improve technology in our profit center locations as well as more digital options for customers and expect you to assist with company-supported technology implementation, inventory control, and other critical business functions.

Starting hourly wage: $24-27/hr based on experience + profit sharing opportunities.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience

• Strong experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Able to use a computer, tablet, and smartphone with all relevant applications

• Able to lift 30 pounds without assistance

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

• Strong attention to detail and time management

• Reliable transportation to and from work

• Regular and consistent attendance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

• Experience working in a blue-collar and/or warehouse setting

• Excellent customer service

• Knowledge of electrical supplies

Working Conditions:

This job operates in an office environment and various warehouse locations and conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to, phones, computers, tablets, smartphones, and relevant software.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 30 pounds.

Essential Job Functions:

• Accounts Payable and Receivable functions

• Administrative support of inventory management and purchasing

• Processing, verifying and reconciling vendor invoices

• Ensure timely payment of expenses

• Facilitate vendor returns of material

• Analyze financial data in order to implement changes to improve profitability

• Implementation of technology

• Optimizing and improving efficiencies in processes

• Helping to train other employees in relevant processes and procedures

• Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $52000 to $61000 annually.
