Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a lasting impact supporting young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational environment near Washington, DC. This engaging, highly flexible opportunity empowers you to work with a diverse caseload at a single site, with plenty of autonomy over your schedule. You’ll play an instrumental role helping students in PK 3 through grade 5 build the communication skills they need to thrive.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current, valid DC SLP License (requirement)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Prior experience providing services in a school-based setting
  • Strong background in direct therapy and conducting bilingual assessments
  • Enthusiastic, self-driven, and committed to student-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students with a variety of communication needs
  • Complete thorough, culturally competent bilingual assessments
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and comply with school guidelines
  • Advocate for students’ needs and provide input on strategies for classroom success

Position Details:

  • Contract position
  • 1 opening available
  • Approximately 10-15 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule: set your days and hours to best fit your availability
  • Service period: August 31, 2026, to June 18, 2026
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 10 weekly service hours, working with students from PreK 3 to 5th grade
  • All services provided at a single school site
