Responsibilities Oversee sales and use tax returns and property tax returns for multiple legal entities Compile and review source data to ensure tax filings are accurate and tied to the general ledger Partner with business units, IT, and third-party consultants to gather and validate financial data Perform tax research and provide guidance on taxability questions Respond to internal tax-related inquiries in a timely manner Write and maintain desktop procedures for tax and accounting processes File, pay, and track business licenses File refund claims for tax on accounts receivable Review, approve, and enter tax exemptions into the tax determination system Troubleshoot purchase order taxability and related tax issues Ensure compliance with state regulations, accounting practices, company policies, and tax laws Complete sales and use tax audits from notice through resolution Support updates to taxability settings in internal systems based on audit findings Identify and implement process improvements within the tax department Prepare and ensure timely payment of financial reports to avoid penalties Maintain assigned general ledger reconciliations and reduce financial risk Assist with departmental projects and take a lead role in planning and coordination Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting or Finance focus CPA 2-5 years of accounting or finance experience required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills required, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Charts Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills Knowledge of SOX controls and compliance requirements Understanding of GAAP accounting ERP experience required EDI knowledge Sabrix and/or Vertex experience BI/BW expertise Lean Six Sigma certification Interview Process Interview Format: Teams Benefits Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days 401(k) with company match available after 1 year of service Austin Faris A-Line Staffing Solutions Phone: View phone number on click.appcast.io Email: View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr Energy Jobline ZR
