About the Program The Tulane VISTA program partners with 20 non‑profit organizations serving the New Orleans community to place VISTA members in high‑impact, capacity‑building roles. VISTA members work with one organization during their term of service on a variety of activities to improve the partner site’s anti‑poverty programs. Member Duties Familiarize themselves with the mission of a land trust organization and the legal tools used to conserve lands in areas that put low‑income populations at risk. Raise community awareness of the operations of a land trust organization and benefits to low‑income communities. Identify and secure funding and support to help sustain and expand the developed outreach program.
