Still Austin Whiskey Co Bartender PositionStill Austin is the first true grain-to-glass distillery to open in Austin since the end of Prohibition and one of the fastest-growing craft whiskey brands in the United States. Hospitality is central to our brand, and every guest interaction reflects our commitment to quality, authenticity, and care.The Bartender is responsible for delivering elevated, genuine hospitality experiences while preparing and serving beverages in alignment with Still Austin Quarter standards. This role blends technical skill, product knowledge, and warm guest engagement to create memorable moments for every guest, every shift. Bartenders are brand ambassadors who promote loyalty through exceptional service, responsible alcohol service, and attention to detail. Part of this role will be an expectation to pivot between volume bartending and cocktail service.To be successful in this role, the Bartender will:Deliver exceptional hospitality by creating welcoming, personalized guest experiences.Serve as a brand ambassador, building loyalty through storytelling, recommendations, and product knowledge.Execute consistently by preparing beverages according to SAQ specifications and service standards.Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization behind the bar and throughout the facility.Communicate effectively and positively with teammates, management, and guests.Operate with accountability and integrity, especially during high-volume service.Essential Duties & Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to SAQ recipes and specifications.Deliver elevated hospitality by greeting guests warmly, making thoughtful recommendations, and anticipating guest needs.Accurately describe food and beverage offerings, including spirits profiles, ingredients, and preparation methods.Serve alcohol responsibly and in compliance with TABC guidelines to ensure the safety of guests and the company.Maintain awareness of potential food and beverage allergens and communicate clearly with guests as needed.Maintain cleanliness, organization, and integrity of the bar, equipment, and surrounding service areas.Monitor stock levels behind the bar and communicate needs or shortages to management proactively.Accurately process cash and credit card transactions using the POS system.Assist in addressing guest feedback and service recovery opportunities with professionalism and care.Work efficiently under pressure, multitasking during high-volume service while maintaining quality and composure.Promote teamwork by communicating clearly and supporting fellow team members across shifts and departments.QualificationsRequired QualificationsProven experience working as a bartender or in a similar hospitality role.Strong understanding of cocktail preparation, spirits, and beverage service.Knowledge of safety, TABC regulations, and food handling best practices.Ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests and team members.Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Availability to work evenings, weekends, late nights, and some holidays.CertificationsCurrent TABC Certification required.Current Texas Food Handler's Certification required.Preferred QualificationsExperience in craft cocktail, spirits-forward, or high-volume hospitality environments.Strong sales mindset with the ability to upsell thoughtfully and authentically.Passion for hospitality, storytelling, and delivering memorable guest experiences.Physical RequirementsStand and walk for extended periods during service.Lift and carry items such as cases, kegs, ice, and supplies (up to 40 lbs).Perform repetitive motions including reaching, bending, and pouring.Work in a fast-paced environment with varying noise levels and temperatures.
