Urgently Needed: Volunteer Delivery Drivers - Meals on Wheels (Proviso Township)

Meals on Wheels for Northern Illinois

Meals on Wheels for Northern Illinois is urgently seeking compassionate volunteer delivery drivers to help deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors in Proviso Township. Your time behind the wheel can make a powerful difference-ensuring neighbors receive not only a warm meal, but a friendly smile and a safety check.

Responsibilities include picking up pre-packaged meals between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m., delivering along a pre-planned route and offering a brief, friendly greeting to each senior.

Drivers must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license, provide proof of auto insurance, and pass a background check. Dependability and punctuality are also required.

Meals on Wheels offers flexible scheduling Monday through Friday, and training for its volunteers. This opportunity is ideal for individuals, retirees and couples.
