Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Burlington, NC. Location: Burlington, NC. Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency. Preferred Qualifications One year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
